What is an Adoption Certificate?
An Adoption Certificate is issued to a person who has had their status confirmed as adopted in Court by way of an Adoption Order. It is a document that replaces their original birth certificate.
Who can get an Adoption Certificate?
Anyone can apply for an Adoption Certificate, they are public documents.
Adoption Orders can also be gained from the original Court who issued the Order.
What do I need to get an Adoption Certificate?
You will need either a previous copy of the Adoption Certificate or certain details that would normally be included on it.
