Adoption Certificate Apostille
An Adoption Certificate is issued by either a Register Office (following the Court Adoption Order) or the General Register Office (as a Certified Copy) and contains details on the Adoption, essentially replacing an original Birth Certificate. The apostille itself can only be placed on an original Adoption Certificate.
The only copy that is acceptable is a Certified Copy provided by the General Register Office. it is impossible to apostille a photocopy - even if it has been certified by a solicitor.
